Two-Factor Authentication

For extra security be sure to enable two-factor authentication on your bank accounts and other confidential logins. (Crypto Wallets also)

This is how it works once it is setup:

  1. You will logon to your financial institution the normal way.
  2. Then you are prompt to type in a 4 to 7 digit code that is texted to your phone to complete the logon process.

Contact your bank to see how to set it up, or check your account settings to enable it.

There are a lot of people out there who would like to steal your money!  I recently had my PayPal account compromised.  I only discovered it when I could not logon because they suspected fraud.  Once I did get logged in I noticed there was $200 transferred from my bank account to my PayPal account which I did not do.  Luckily it did not go any further than that.

Also be sure to change your email password for your password recovery accounts that are connected to your financial institutions.
